Worship
We believe worship is a meeting between God and His people that:- God calls us to participate in regularly.
- Jesus Christ enables us to participate in through His life, death, and resurrection.
- the Holy Spirit leads and renews us to participate in.
- is grounded in God’s Word.
- is both public and private.
- is both reverent and relational.
- is both structured and spontaneous.
What should I expect?
Expect to be greeted on the way into the church and receive a bulletin. Expect to sing newer praise songs with piano and guitar accompaniment, as well as traditional hymns out of hymnals.
We eat of the Lord's Supper together every Sunday. The elements are passed out in the pews and taken individually as the Holy Spirit leads us. After the sermon, an open invitation is given to anyone who would like to come forward for personal prayer and support.
Many of us like to linger after the service to enjoy each other's company.
How do I dress?
Dress in whatever way you feel is appropriate. You may want to come dressed in your 'best' before God. You may want to dress in your 'normal' clothes, even if it is more casual. We are meeting with God, so the focus isn't on us. The important thing is that we come, regardless of our dress.
